You did a smart thing by going with Koons. My brief interaction with them was very good. I even emailed them thanking for their time after ordering my JK locally and they actually thanked me.
I didn't give him the price up front because that is the quickest way to not get the best price, but just a good enough price.

Essentially when you know what you want it it's just a bidding process. If you had a estimate on a new deck you wouldn't give other deck companies that price. If you did they are just competitive enough to get the business. If they have to bid blind then they really have to give you the best price, or do something else to set their bid apart.

I don't like this game, but at the end of the day that is the way you get the best deal.

Ha we think alike except I was hoping same for the Winter. Rubicon based with some cool add ons and a short run similar to the Arctic. Stupid as it may be I found that Yeti and the color cool just because its was unique. Plus I heard it got better mpg's and cost less to finance.(insert crappy joke disclaimer here)

I know a Rubi S.E. is unlikely, (the Hard Rock has that pretty well covered) but I don't have much else to do but read and wait for the MY info to come out while I work my butt off to get in a position to order one.

P.S. I know the Arctic wasn't Rubicon based but I can dream can't I?

I appreciate all the excellent information in this thread - thank you.

I'm going through Military Auto Source (MAS) due to my location for a 2017 JKU HR. Today I received the below link and thought I'd share in the event there are people following the thread that are eligible to use MAS and are interested in the model offered below.

The Arctic is one of my favorite special editions ever. Back when I ordered my 2014 Willys my salesman and I were outside talking and I saw one in the back lot waiting for repairs. Turns out it's my neighbors kids Jeep. 4 door ice blue one on 35's. I see it all the time now. I really think those are some of the best looking Jeeps out there. There's also a 2 door white one I see now and then, but the blue one is my favorite.

Same here... I was hoping for another ice blue type color this year similar to Chill. Type of color that's fun and classy all at the same time.
Lots of cool details on the Artic Edition.

That's pretty sharp BD... nice that you can have the opportunity to be driving this even though you're stationed overseas. Is that Sport based?... couldn't find much info on it.
Welcome aboard!

I like that color too, but you have to admit it screams 70's! Jeep would need to include opera windows and a 1/2 vinyl roof, in the package.

Yup, there is something kinda Monte Carlo-ish about it I guess. Still dig it though, lol.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Looking for some insight from others who are awaiting their 2017 builds

Ordered a 2016 rubicon 7/21
When VIN was assigned I found out through an insurance quote that i'm actually getting a 2017
Have been in D1 status almost 1 month
Jeep has no insight regarding estimated build date, completion date, or est. shipping date?

Has anyone who ordered a 2017 around that time or even after gotten further along then me??

Dealer of course told me 6-8 weeks but that was with the assumption it would be a 2016 i'm guessing?

7 weeks tomorrow and they haven't even started... getting impatient as my garage is full and ready to get to work (method beadlocks already mounted to 35"s, AEV premium front bumper, AEV rear bumper & tire carrier, AEV 3.5" lift, S-POD, IPF 900xs xtreme light kit...... ALL arrived and ready to go!!!)

I'm with on the garage full of stuff waiting on the Jeep to put it on. Time is dragging.

As for your estimate, check out the 2016 Waiting Room thread on Wranglerforum. Lots of dudes in the same boat throwing out their time info.

I have tried asking Jeep Chat for an estimate, but they have been pretty useless on that front. And I think my salesperson must have quit or gone on vacation. But it comes when it comes.

Ordered a 2017 GC Rubicon HR Unlimited on the 9th. Went by the dealer yesterday and he said ship date of 9/28 and if shipped by truck (East Tenn), could be here on the 29th. We will see.
