Nope. The name happens to start with one of the letters in "W r a n g l e r".

Anyways, the dealer is making right on it and said they will order me a 2017 identical build, identical deal, and handle everything with FCA on my behalf.

Here was my build:

Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4x4 (JKJM74)

A lot of people said to get Alpine but the factory speakers are good enough for me and I will just swap out the (2) in the sound bar with Kickers, and stuff the sound bar with padding. I'm not picky with vehicle stereo systems, I've been driving a Civic with stock speakers for ~ 15 years. I also require the use of the under-floor cargo space which I can't have a sub using. Just thought I would throw that out there ahead of time so I don't need to re-explain the Alpine vs Stock thing again.

The reason for my post is this - another forum member said that now that I will be getting a 2017, I should pay the $595 and get the LED lighting upgrade. I saw the light throwout with the Wrangler stock lights, and they do seem a bit weak even on high beam. Nothing too bad though and not weak enough to complain as an issue really, I'm used to my 15 yr old Civic anyways. To those who ordered 2017's, is the LED upgrade really worth the $595? Isn't that something I can always switch out later for likely way less especially once the OEM LED's are floating around on the market?

Thanks in advance

Glad to see you haven't given up on us, Medic, and have joined the 17 waiting room.

I've driven the pilots with led headlights at night. IMHO it's well worth the money. The difference between the stock halogen and the LEDs is literally night and day.

Really good headlights are one of those things you don't think you need until you see the difference.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hello everyone,
I've been lurking around this forum for a couple months now. Trying to decide on the Jeep I really wanted. Either an in stock 2016, or wait and order a 2017.
This week I made that decision.
I just ordered a 2017 Wrangler Rubicon - Hard Rock. Automatic, two door, in the Granite Crystal color. All black interior. I added the 430N radio and 4.10 gears.

Now begins the agonizing wait. LoL!
I have looked for the 2017 Waiting Room but I can't find a link.

I want to thank you all for helping me make, hopefully, the right call

Can't wait for my and my wife's future Jeep adventures.

Thanks again.

Hey Archer! Don't worry, I'm not giving up on my dream vehicle I've wanted since I was 16 ;-) . Instead of blowing my lid I took the calm but firm approach and had confidence that someone would make it right (either FCA, or the dealer). In this case, the dealer stepped up and I'm grateful.

Do you happen to have any night photos of the the LED throwout vs Stock Halogen throwout? I'm curious to see the difference. If yes, just shoot me a PM.

Do you know what the LED package ordering code is?

I did have a picture of the beams shining against the building, but it when I reset my phone.

As soon as they start running I should be able to get a side by side shot of halogens and LEDs.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Good evening everyone,

New guy here, first off want to say WOW! Information overload in this post alone! My wife has a 2015 JKU Sport package and I am wanting to get another Jeep (06 TJ) back in the day. But not to sure on if I should wait for the JL and see if the Diesel makes an appearance or go with the farewell JKU Rubicon

Couple things I do want.
1. 6 speed Manual
2. Rubicon Package
3. Led Heads/fogs
So now back to the research. Just thought I'd stop stalking! Also never "ordered" a new vehicle before so not to sure on that process. Plus the dealer in my area is Garbage....to say the least.

Awesome forum and keep up the good work!

I wanted to wait to see if the diesel really shows up as well, but gave up and order a 2017. My 2017 is replacing my TDI after VW's shenanigans. My other rig is a RAM 3500 with the 6.7 Turbo Diesel. I'd be all over a diesel Wrangler.
