As far as I can tell, diesel will not launch until 2019 model year.

A kindred spirit.. I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a JKUR HR or whatever, once my diesel VW is out of my driveway... I agree that a diesel in the JK would be awesome..

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hello everyone. I'm new to jeeps and new to these forums. I was hoping everyone good clear up something for me. I want to order the new 2017, but I can't find any details on what colors or editions they will have for 2017 on their website officially. This post of course covers it, but does anyone have any idea when it will all be announced officially?

I don't want to put my order in until I actually know what my options are.

I was trying to wait until the VW buyback was a for sure for sure done deal before ordering, but also wanted the Jeep ready to go when I turn over the keys to the Jetta.

Trusting that the check from VW will come through.

Yeah I had a '15 ram 3500 DRW that I replaced with the current '15 GMC 1500 but I live off lead and the things I want/need to do to my truck a rubicon has factory. so it's a no brainier. The bed space lacking will be an adjustment but that's what's nice about jeeps. No shortage of aftermarket accessories.

Jeez! What are you a Wizard!?! Appreciate the info. Really having trouble finding any '16 Rubicon JKU in 6 speed. Only reason id consider a '17 order.

Just ordered a '17 Sahara with Freedom Top Hard Top Headliner. Does this guarantee that the rear wiper/defrost is included? I note that during the build process does not offer a rear wiper.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hi all! New here as I am looking at getting a 17 JKUHR. Where can I find a list of all the upgrades? I see some on the Jeep site but others here have alluded to other options. I live in PA and see many go to Koons which is about an 100 miles from me. Is this a good place? I am outside Haarisburg. Also can you get a lift put on from the dealer? Is it worth it or is after market better? It's going to be a daily driver but I have done a few Jamborees with a buddy which gave me the itch but don't want to go to off-road for a daily. Any suggestions greatly appreciated as I try to make heads and tails of all the information and getting what I want! Thanks!

Oh well, cheers to the "new" version!
It sounds like you are pretty serious about selling your Baja JK. Why is that? You may be one of those guys who just does this every few years and I can respect that. I really liked Baja and if Acid is too bleached out, I'd be reluctant to make that trade but maybe you enjoy changing color as well.

Yea, I change mine out every few years. But like you, I really like my Baja. So I'm conflicted.

That being said, the color options and or lack of, make my decision easy. A Hard Rock(the new version) in Chief, or a really cool new yellow would be the only things that sway me.

So we shall see what the future brings!
