No HID, 2017 has LED standard on Sahara and Rubicon, optional on Sport. The housing is different.

Granted, the Jeep will be a bit wider than the Gremlin and significantly heavier.
Thanks to everyone for the info and also photos of the Granite Jeep as well as Gremlin. I've been out of town and in fact visiting some Saguaros in Arizona as well as the Joshua Trees in California.

Was hoping to get a Jeep Compass or Patriot as our mid sized SUV rental car but ended up with a Nissan Rogue as the Jeep or similar vehicle promised.

Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do here.

yes the economics answer is the people in general, not the owners. And that is what happened with about 95% of remediation (US was about 5% of the effected VWs). Reading the settlements most of the remdiation was to non owners. In the relatively smaller US market, US the settlement was an outlier because we have much more liberal class action lawsuit threats. So the ratio reversed and the owners got most of the settlement. In the global market, most went to fines and research to reduce impact on the people breathing the air. Should be interesting to see if this spurs Europe to adoption class action suits as easy as the US

Is it worth it or is after market better? It's going to be a daily driver but I have done a few Jamborees with a buddy which gave me the itch but don't want to go to off-road for a daily. Any suggestions greatly appreciated as I try to make heads and tails of all the information and getting what I want! Thanks!
Cars.com has a pretty good 2017 configuration. Just go to that and reset it to "2017" after you pick wrangler in 2 door or 4 door. I don''t think people are seeing any difference of more than a couple of bucks in total price from MSRP and Invoice listed for configured JKs there vs dealership MSRP an invoice. Erica at Koons gave me best price, but got good prices from a couple of PA dealers , especially considering doc fee was almost $500 less. As it turned out my wife knew Erica there, but their standard deal was fine.

Keep in mind you can get 1% under invoice from any dealer, plus the doc fee (which varies from state to state from $100 to $600), with no hassles by signing up for a $100 treadlightly membership (you need to wait 30 days after you sign up) which enrolls you in a preferred price program: https://www.treadlightly.org/

Diogen, thanks for educating me. I had not thought about the settlement from a global perspective.

Came here to learn about the 2017 Wrangler, and I did. Thanks. But its time to move on as I am getting tired of listening to the same guy preach how to buy a car or financial policies as he contributes nothing to the topic.

Its been fun, but I'll stick with the Jeep Wrangler forum from now on.

Generally speaking the headlight assembly would be the light and the housing. But most, if not all other, replacement LED use the standard housing. Why would the housing be different of the new 2017 Wrangler LED's.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I finally get to stop lurking in the Jeep Garage! Got my daughter thru college and will marry her off next month, so I'm no longer going to be penniless. Ordered my Unlimited Rubicon and just got confirmation of D1 status and an estimated ship date of 5 Oct.

For those who are tracking timelines, I put the order together a couple weeks ago but it didn't actually go in until 12 Sep. 12 Sep to 5 Oct seems super fast, but I'm not complaining.

I just ordered a 2017 a couple of weeks ago and the options and pricing was spot on.
Good luck!
Car.com or cars.com. I have the cars.com app and it doesn't give 2017 as an option. 2016 is the newest.
