Jeeperfrog, I had the same problem but finally found at the top of their page where I could change the year to 2017.

For those who are tracking timelines, I put the order together a couple weeks ago but it didn't actually go in until 12 Sep. 12 Sep to 5 Oct seems super fast, but I'm not complaining.

Hi Mark,

Congratulations on your order!

Are those dates based on MOTS (Milous Online Tracking System) or coming from the dealer?

Thanks.

Sport Big Bear will run from February until July

Sahara 75th production will end in late December
Sahara Winter edition will run from December to May
Sahara Chief will run from March until June
Sahara (tbd) edition will run from March until May
Sahara M edition will run from March until July

Rubicon Hard Rock production will end in January and will be replaced by the new Rubicon special model (nice!), which will run until the end of the 2017 model year (September 2017)

Just thinking out loud... sad to see the Hard Rock won't be going into spring production. Still a bit up in the air on what I will be ordering and I always thought of the HR as my "screw it, I'm going all in" choice, lol.
But on the plus side, at least these special editions all seem to overlap each other... so plenty of choices and comparisons will be possible. Also... with the Hardrock being replaced by a Rubicon special edition this could be the one. Just have my fingers crossed that I can pick up a JK version of this south of 50k lol.
It's going to be a loooooong winter.

Thanks guys I'll try that. I'm really anxious to see the purple on Sahara wheels. I'm thinking meh. Which I'm sure cars.com won't show me that but I saw a photo shopped pic of one. Not the exact purple, but close and I hated it. I plan to change the wheels eventually, but it's the fact of having to live with it until then. Like 2 years maybe. I'm leaning more and more towards the rubicon. Or finding someone that's bought a back country and changed the wheels and maybe want to get rid of the factory wheels that came on it.

Right there with you. This thread is great, but I check it every time I get an email that someone has posted...can't be healthy—it's barely mid-September.

I'm bummed about the HR too...just really hoping the replacement carries over the hood and bumpers. Also hoping it stays at the same price point.

First question that's been asked already:
Do You think the hard rock replacement will be in a similar price point or more toward the 60k Red Rock?
Second one:
Do you think the Special Edition will include the metal bumpers (10A, hard rock) ?
It's a very important info for me because if it will include them, it won't be officially imported to Europe
( Because the metal bumpers don't comply with pedestrian safety...
Though I personally prefer to avoid them even with the plastic bumpers ;-))
Therefore, in this case I shouldn't wait for the special edition and should go ahead now with the base rubicon...
Thank you,
Rafi

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I am not sure if this was answered before, if it has forgive me. On Cars.Com the build for 2017's (not sure how accurate this is) BUT for the Sport S I see the two options below:

MOPAR Amaretto Leather & Premium Sound $2,000$1,780
  • 115V Auxiliary Power Outlet
  • Alpine 9-Speaker w/All Weather Subwoofer
  • Heated Front Seats
MOPAR Premium Sound & Leather $2,000$1,780

  • 115V Auxiliary Power Outlet
  • Heated Front Seats
Now, I thought the Sport S there was no option for leather? or is this going to be an option for 2017? Also, does anyone know what the Amaretto leather looks like?

The Leather & Sound group has been available for some time, I know it was available when I ordered my 2014.

True, this option has been around for a while. Its not technically factory leather, but rather "aftermarket" Katzkin leather seat covers put on by an outside vendor (and then the Wrangler is returned back to the factory for shipping).

The only thing "new" for 2017, is the second color choice. You can select between either gray and now amaretto. I don't think we have seen any official samples of amaretto, but then again, we have ever seen any samples of the gray either. We only know what the gray looks like, by seeing a Wrangler with this option, sitting on a dealer's lot (and someone took pics and posted them).

Since their "black" Katzkin turned out to be actually gray, I don't know if I would go out on a limb and commit to people here that the amaretto Katzkin will look just like the Red Rock's interior. We just don't know.

That's from a 'Priced Order Confirmation' the dealer emailed me a copy of that has the VON and VIN, status and dates, plus the vehicle and options for the build. Looks like something that would have been printed from an order system, but I suppose it could be something the dealer concocted on his own.
