Does anyone know how long it takes to build a Wrangler on the assembly line in Toledo?

2017s should begin manufacturing today!

Takes about 24 hours to go from E status (Framing) to KZ status (released by the plant and invoiced)

Build
E framing
F paint
G trim

Built
I unit is pending final inspection, quality control
J vehicle has passed final inspection, but has not been released to carrier
JB shipped to body vendor (typically for decals or stripes)
JS shipped to storage (to await shipping; also for Quality Control and Vehicle Flash updates etc.)
KZ released by plant and invoiced

I wanted granite crystal metallic but since not available yet (not sure if/when it will be) I went with rhino, which was a close second for me. The dark gray and black look great together. With some of the mods I want to make it's going to be a mean looking machine!

Excited to become a jeep owner!

I don't think I've seen this asked, but is it known which models will have half doors as an option? I am specifically interested in an Unlimited.

I've been thinking of going with a base Sport in the interest of $$, but man, that Recon concept is tasty looking...

Me too on the colors. My first choice was granite but not available for 2017 Willy's so have decided on Rhino also as second choice. What do you think about the Rhino in person? I've only seen pictures of the Rhino, have not seen in person. From pictures, I've just about talked myself into liking the Rhino better than the Granite. Congrats on the order!

Historically, only the base Sport and the Willys (K package, not W) have half-doors available from factory.

Personally, I was looking at a base Sport as well (for the same reason as you) but wound up ordering a Willys.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Is there anywhere we can look at the Gobi color applied to a wrangler? I am looking at picking up a white or Mojave unlimited RHR but the 2017 offerings which are similar are white or Gobi.
There was something about the Mojave color I liked but they are practically nonexistent in 2016's with the options I am looking for. Therefore, ordering a 2017 appears to be the path to take if I want a light tan color. The other question is if there will be HR's in Gobi or will it be the Recon only due to late color availability? I probably could order it now in white and have it for Christmas.

Nice!

What part of the US do they live in? (Wondering how soon we'll see the first pictures)

I have a pretty large dealership that I drive by every day so I have checked out the Rhino at various times of day to see what it looks like in different lighting. The color has grown on me. Unfortunately it is difficult to tell from pictures, especially color swatches, they look EXACTLY the same on a computer screen, however in person the Rhino is a flatter color, and a different hue of gray. They also look different in different lights.

The best picture I have seen of the color difference is this one:

Curious how long the build and shipping process will take. Super excited to get this awesome American made machine!
