Not sure on the deals being made, someone from Canada will have to answer that.

Profit margins are better for Canada dealers. At MSRP your dealer would be making $4,000 on the base vehicle, and that's not including added options. Holdback for them is $500.00.

It seems like mostly unlimited Wrangler's are being built.

Are regular 2 door Wranglers also being built at the same time and most importantly 75th Anniversary editions being built since my order date was 8/13?

I've been thinking of going with a base Sport in the interest of $$, but man, that Recon concept is tasty looking...

Personally, I was looking at a base Sport as well (for the same reason as you) but wound up ordering a Willys.

The Power Convenience Group and Premium Soft Top are two options that conflict with ordering Half Doors, and one or both of those options show up on nearly every JK and JKU Special Edition (with the exception of the base Willys).

For 2016:
JKU's with half doors were limited to base Sport & Willys.
JK's offered half doors on base Sport & Sport S, base Willys & Willys W, and Rubicon.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hi guys, I'm a first time Jeep Wrangler buyer and 2017 is going to be the year I order one! For those of you experienced with negotiating prices on these. I would like a little advice.

The Sahara I priced out and would like to order has a MSRP of $40,295. The Invoice Price is $37,996. I spent about an hour going back and forth with the sales manager at the dealership on the price and we couldn't come to an agreement. I didn't think it was unreasonable for him to give me the Wrangler for $100 over Employee Pricing which I offered: $36,396. The best he was willing to offer me was: $37,316. I politely said that I thought we were too far apart and I walked away from the deal. I'm going to shop a few other dealerships to see if I can get a better price. With the numbers I provided above, do you guys see it being unreasonable that I shouldn't be able to get the Sahara for $100 over employee pricing?

I should also note that my sister was along and she fully intends on buying/ordering a wrangler herself. This would have been 2 wranglers sold for the dealer that were identically optioned other than the color.

The price you want is about 10% off of MSRP. This is a lot on a Wrangler. 95% of dealerships will tell you goodbye. It is doable but you may have to contact 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 dealerships before you find one that is willing to do it.

As for your sister, her purchase will have 0 impact on the price you pay. Dealerships look at the sales separately.

Just don't get it. Wants $100 over employee pricing. Give me a break. So someone who works for Jeep is only discounted $100 better than you walking of the street. And you walk away from that deal. Anyhow, I don't think this is the forum for this question anyway.

Well, considering other dealers throughout the nation offer their wranglers to a "guy off the street" for less than employee pricing, I didn't think it was unreasonable to offer $100 over employee pricing. I'm not here to debate, I'm just wanting to know if I'm being unreasonable?

Take Koons Jeep for example. They're selling a wrangler with a MSRP of $40,310 for $35,941 (less than employee pricing). If they can offer that price without haggling, why can't I offer my local dealer a *little more* and be unreasonable?
