People writing to FCA are being told gobi will be in the order banks in mid or late November and builds in December.

That means about a two month longer wait to get the vehicle in gobi than if you order another today. I got "mid November" ordering when I called 248-576-5741 and "projected November" for ordering to start on Gobi in when I used the email form ( Email Jeep ). They are also giving rough dates for the other colors.

Anything could happen, but they are saying orders projected to start Nov thought the official customer inquiry process meaning likely four to eight weeks (almost certainly closer to eight weeks) longer to be driving one than another color ordered today.

some chips and the brochure photoshopped rendering have been posted. I dont know it the fleet brochure pdf has been, for what it is worth her eit is with the color is shown bottom left of page 18 here: http://fleet.fcacanada.ca/en_dir/pdf...yers_Guide.pdf

it obviously could be more yellow, red, brown or gray than your monitor shows but sampling both mojave and gobi in that in photshop and analizing it photoshop says gobi has more gray and slighly more brown than mojave. that is progression -- sahara sand, mohave and gobi each getting more gray -- since in the following pic you see a Wagner in old "sahara" next to a more gray mojave. the gobi looks a continuation of that as it seeks more gray than mojave

I don't think you'd see one on a lot to look live with your own eye on lots in sun, clouds or evening before late December early January though. And that is the onlly way to know for sure.

Thanks. I emailed jeep this morning. Chief is the color I could possible be interested in. But living on gravel the most logical color will probably be white or silver. Could do white to match my truck. 😊

I started the joke here about the Recon being in the Red Rock territory. That was in response to the list of demands posted here, that the Recon be everything a Hard Rock is, plus lift, plus tires, plus 60 axles, plus, plus, plus. There is no way a Recon could offer all that, and not cost more, which opened the way into my joke.

However, there hasn't been any official confirmation on what features the Recon will have from the factory.

Oh, I remember your post. I was kinda referring to the "concept" model vs. reality.

My gut tells me it will be in the HR price range. But as we all know, Jeep likes to throw curves!!!

I am going to go with the over. I think it will be a small-medium premium over the HR(we already know its getting dinoc/stickers and those up the value a few thousand right off the bat , but hey its job security for our man AA so I am cool with that.) I am going to also put in that Jeep knows closing out this generation there are enough people who would be willing to sign up for a premium/halo model which also happens to have a few new/never offered before goodies that they could move a few thousand of them. Think the 10A when it first showed up, heard comments like "they will never sell that many" and "too fancy for a Rubicon" and from what I have seen Milous say there's a good chance they have moved around 15K+, Rubi X and HR a year since then.

Looking at the concept it's difficult to imagine what reasonably makes it to production without going seriously premium. It's easy to see 10A/X/HR bumpers, hood, rock rails, etc.. But then? 60 axels and beadlocks!? Seems like that'd be $50k+ no problem. What else? Camo seats and faux military-ish stickers? Oh yeah, there's also the hemi...

I guess time will tell ....

When I hear things like D60's that makes it better than a Red Rock.
