re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread
I was offline for a little while and couldn't respond, but I do have some clarification on the $895 price for the Cold Weather Group.
The listed items of the Cold Weather Group that included power windows, power locks, keyless entry, security alarm, and the auto-dimming mirror are for the Cold Weather Group that was originally going to be offered on the base Sport model. This was what I originally planned to order. However, that option for the Sport was scrubbed and the Cold Weather Group is only available on the Sport S trim and up.
The Sport S already has those items as standard. Thus, the Cold Weather Group "only" ads seventeen inch wheels, thirty-one inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA/KO2 tires, heated front seats (both driver and passenger), heated outside mirrors, and an engine block heater. On automatic transmission models, it also ads remote start from the key fob. It's still worth it in my opinion, as those tires retail for $201 each and the base ones are terrible for the terrain where I'll be driving it.
