Gorgeous amaretto leather thanks for sharing! We had the pleasure of sitting in a Red Rock still on display at our local dealership this holiday weekend. The seat color and comfort alone is the best we've seen and experienced in a Wrangler. Until now, we felt our Hard Rock Rubi interior was the most comfortable. Advance Katzkin leathering we wouldn't resist in a heartbeat had we realized how plush and luxurious they truly feel in this amazing vehicle. If only we had $80000 to dish out, that Red Rock is just as phenomenal to behold in person as they've been in photos. Let's hope the upcoming Recon edition comes close to the look of the legendary yet a bit overpriced IMHO Red Rock

Thank you. Yes, the Katzkin Tuscany leather is pretty nice - it comes with silver stitching. My '13 JKUR 10A has thicker black Katzkin leather with black stitching. I ordered it during the short window of time it was available as an option - it has "Rubicon 10th Anniversary" on the seatback.

I have my eye on the 2017 Recon. If the Recon has D60's from the factory, my Red Rock will be sold.

I have No. 50...

That is beautiful leather.... Is the amaretto leather in the red rock the Tuscany leather quality or the regular katzkin quality which is listed as mahogany?

Katzkin Tuscany leather quality....

See the chart I attached a few posts back - last post, on previous page.

I can say this much, the Tuscany leather is super plush.

So, I know a guy that works up at Auburn Hills. He was involved with the Red Rocks. I get a call from him asking me if I can find the last Red Rock. It needs to go out right away or it will never be done in time. I looked all over and never found it. It magically turned up the next day. I was told some engineers had it in a room doing engineering stuff. Whatever that is. I looked all over for it.

Not sure if it was number 50, as they were all converted elsewhere.

There's only one Katzkin Amaretto color - falls under the "Tuscany Special Materials" section.

I am not sure either. I just would not anyone to take such speculation as proven fact.

As I keep mentioning, we know that what Jeep calls "black" isn't even close to what Katzkin calls "black" (more like one of Katzkin's grays). IMHO, that's enough to raise my doubts about amaretto until I get to see it on a 2017.

I understand where you're coming from, but the fact that Jeep used "Amaretto Katzkin" leather in the Red Rock concept, and production model, I think it's safe to say it will be the exact same thing in the 2017 amaretto leather package. I just don't see them using the same terminology for something different.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hello all. I am new to the forum but have been lurking around for a while learning and gathering information. Thanks for the posts and all the info everyone provides, I have learned a lot on here. I am looking to get a 2017 JKU HR in the next few months. I am seeing here that the Hard Rock will be discontinued around January. Does anyone know when the latest I can order a 2017 Hard Rock would be?

On a side note, I went to the local Jeep dealership this past weekend to see the LED lights in person. The Salesman was almost arguing with me saying that Wranglers don't come with LEDs...until I proved him wrong. So annoying that they don't know the information about the products they sell. I have learned so much more here than I could from the dealer/salesman.

Thanks again for your help and info. - Josh

Interesting. I was working with Tyler and mine was one of the last to be issued a VIN, with the number 50, and then distributed to my dealer. It had 19 miles on it upon arrival.

I was curious how the mud got spattered on the undercarriage.

I'm assuming the engineers had a good time...

I myself can't give you an exact date on when '17 HR ordering will close... I'm sure someone here will help you with that. What I can tell you is don't wait. When it comes to Jeeps... more specifically Wranglers... when you see it or want it either buy it or order it right away. This is even more true when it comes to colors and special editions.
So if you have your heart set on a Hard Rock I wouldn't waste any time.

Thanks for the advice SeaJay. The hard part about that is getting the wife to agree to trade in the leased truck early for this. My lease is up on April 5th. So talking her into trading that in 6 months early, and paying the penalty for that, is what I am trying to do now.
