Only based on the fact that the concept Recon has a hemi. It also has 39s, beadlocks, D60s, long arms, flat fenders, half doors....how much, if any, of this would carry over to the production vehicle is anybody's guess.

Not sure if this has been posted but here is the 2017 Builder, prices look accurate. Also, the available models seem correct too.

IMO, they should return to the more subdued Yeti motif and do less decals and more nice touches like the Speedo/Odo etc. then the decals gradually progressing from the Polar to the Aspen-X to the BackCountry trying to look more 'radical' or something.

Even for the Arctic edition decals the footprints etc were close to body colour so less noticeable from afar, and more subtle for the Jeep fan than to project something outwards.

I think I'd be happier with a decal of the Yeti doing a Jeep Wave / Peace Sign than the graphics that look like they were trying to be hip and casual, but still employed a hi-priced design studio.

The Guage cluster in the Arctic edition (and even polar) was nice, it was actually more visible in sunlight and at night than the standard gauges. Would replace mine if it wasn't a pain to acquire them without the entire console/bezel etc.

If they just did the top half of the old Yeti Arctic Logo on the hood or tailgate, I think that would be better received than the 'awesome graffix' dude !

I personally would turn the right hand (left side in pic) into the 2 finger wave.

They still haven't fixed the interior photo of the black/dark saddle.
The lower dash brown color is still wayyyyyyy off.

I've seen them much cheaper at some of the Mopar part sites. The good news is it looks like they are backward/plug compatible. Plus we have photos of the complete unit.

Still don't know if they need a "flash" to change the PWM.

I don't think we'll see any of the above on the upcoming Recon. My guess is that they're phasing out the Hard Rock name and replacing it with Recon on the upcoming JL. Think of it as kind of smoothing out the JK to JL transition a bit. So the upcoming JK based Recon will still be a Hard Rock equipment wise but just a different name. Jeep will then stick with Sport, Sahara and Recon as their trim levels for the new JL Wrangler... with Recon being the big dog.

I agree. But, why choose such a wild concept to take the name from? Back when we were guessing at the name, I guessed at the Trailhawk name because it seemed like it would make sense for the transition to the new model. The name is already used on other models, and the design language is similar.

I mean something has to translate to the production model, right? But who knows, maybe it'll just be a Hard Rock with decals by the door handles that say "Push Button to Release Door".

So, Recon will replace Rubicon, and not simply replace Hard Rock?

Thanks Walt... brain freeze on my end lol.
What I meant was trim levels would be Sport, Sahara and Rubicon with Recon replacing Hard Rock.
Similar to how the Rubicon X morphed into the Hard Rock. Same vehicle, different name.
My guess anyways.
