The more I think about this post above the more I think the RECON is going to be available with D60s and 3L VM Diesel motor!
Why are they testing the 3L Diesel and 8 SP ZF transmission in a JK so long ahead of its launch in the JL.
Have a close look at the fit out of the DEF tank and lines, IMO this is production stuff.
Now if they put D60s on the mule then that would plain give everything away with the fact that they would need 8 lug rims and not JK Rubi ones.

My take is the RECON is going to be big final show down of the immensely successful JK generation.
Here to hoping for a 2017 Recon Rubicon with D60s, a 3L VM diesel 8sp ZF trans, Mopar beadlocks and 4 inch lift and 35 inch BFGs as optional !
