I'm sure the Recon will be sharp looking no matter what... but when I think Recon I think stealth and camouflage. This is what I'd imagine the wheel to look like, just a classic steel wheel, nothing fancy... along with colors such as Sarge and Mojave...

By release I mean from the time i see the test cars to the time they start coming down the line on a regular basis. I have no idea when order banks open.

The new wheels resemble something you'd see on the Radir website...

Those look really good. Quality is on par with the OEM McKinley leather? Everything on the Red Rock was top notch, right? Do these have the Katzkin tag?

Thanks. With orders taking about a month between order and production, the banks likely would get the color about the first time you see the test cars then.

After that last bit of info I did wonder if it's going to be a bit busy in design. There are three accent colors now: red, granite, black. I think I know what AA meant now when he said he'd seen the dinoc, but didn't know how it would look.

Milous, when you say "Willys tag" do you mean the word Willys, or the Willys Jeep silhouette icon, like on the current wheels?

I'm starting to get the impression the Recon is leaning toward the bubblegum side. When I read it will have red seat belts with red stitching my excitement meter died.

The visuals on the three colors (red, black and granite) with bright red seat belts is not looking earth toned and subtle..

Perhaps they should name it the OSHA Edition..

Wonder if hood decals will look something like this? Once again following retro look for the recon.

I get the wanting recon to equal stealth. Honesty though, I was excited about the red belts. I love the red 10A interior and thought of the red belts as a way to have a little of that.

The black grille with granite rings is what gave me a bit of pause. I don't like the contrasting rings on the Sahara and the black grille okay on some colors.

Yeah, I didn't order the red interior with my 10A - I ordered black with black stitching. I tossed and turned with that decision. I just don't think I could tolerate black seats, red stitching and red seat belts very long.

I'm also not on board with those trim rings on the grill.. my Red Rock came with those and when I compare to my 10A, I like them without the contrasting rings. It makes the grill slots look huge compared to the old style. That's an easy fix, you can remove and paint those body color and reinsert them - although I wouldn't do that on my Red Rock.

The thing is once you start adding trim rings and decals to partially blackout the hood, headlight bezels and so forth, you may not be able to eliminate one without the other - taking the chance of it looking half done with a few black accents.

This reminds me what Chrysler started doing with Dodge and Plymouth muscle cars during the '70s.

IMHO, from the description so far, it sounds like a variation of the Red Rock hood decal, but with "Recon" instead of "Red Rock" on it.

I would just like to note that I correctly called this whole Chief Blue/White Top thing all the way back at post #287 in June.
