Enough said.
IMO there should never be chrome on a Wrangler.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Just had a look at my Willys on the lot at the dealer. Picking it up tomorrow morning.
All looks good, except, if you opt for the reinforced swingate it covers up the lovely 4WD sticker on the back which is part of the Willys package.
You would think that since this is a factory option they would simply apply that decal somewhere else such as in the area just below the brake light. I'm going to have to purchase a decal and apply it there myself now, but it's still showing that the original is under the swingate and is mostly covered up.
Not good.

That's a bummer. Very sloppy.

Besides the Willys Wheeler on the 2017 JK build site, I noticed the Willys Wheeler "W". It's about a $2,100.00 difference in price. What's the "W" getting me? All I can tell is that it looks like it allows me to order a power/convenience group with the "W" and that's more $.

SJ... Ironic you posted that '71 Dodge Charger R/T.

I was in high school then. The history teacher bought a new Hemi Charger every other year.. he had some prior connection and sponsorship with Dodge. In 1971, he rolled up in a new '71 Hemi Charger R/T that looked very similar to that photo.. except it didn't have a vinyl top.

A student bought it from him after graduating.. shortly thereafter, he was drafted and sent off to Vietnam. The car sat in his parent's garage for many years collecting dust...

On the 2-door, the W package adds A/C.

On the Unlimited, it adds:

POWER CONVENIENCE GROUP
POWER HEATED MIRRORS
POWER LOCKS
PWR WINDOWS, FRONT 1-TOUCH DOWN
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY
SECURITY ALARM

Not good.

Would have been better to just leave it off. Seems you'd have to take the whole thing apart to get the sticker off. 👎🏻

so on the two door, if you planned to get WW with AC anyway, it is $800 more (~2,000 for the WWW - $1,200 for A/C included) for WWW and having perhaps a more advanced wiring system, as WWW package is required to add certain other options, eg the side impact air bags.
