That makes sense because the trucklites are heated. I don't like their beam pattern though.

I would be surprise if they change from the ones they currently have... why change what they are selling today for the last year. On the JL, yeah, I see them coming out with another design/model of headlight... but I am guessing that they will stick with the ones they have in inventory today.

Just my guess...

Maybe this is being used as a test run for the JL. It all comes down to cost too - if a vendor is willing to give them a lower cost, they will switch on a dime.

Jeep doesn't currently offer the Wrangler with LED headlights. In the 2017 model they will. The model LED isn't known yet but it's suspected to be Trucklite.

The JL will have the same headlight, I'm sure. Jeep changed the headlight once to square, look how that turned out.

They have them as an accessory - those are the ones that I was referring to..

I believe the thought now, is that those are too expensive to be the production headlight for 2017.

For the trends of the time, it turned out to be fantasist!

Far, far better than what followed. Jeep designers completely forgot that the parking lights are required to be on the grill, and at the last minute, had to tack them into the fenders. Tack-ons always look so tacky.

These are not the headlights used on the pilots. That doesn't mean they won't be used in production though.

Pilot cars this close to launch are suppose to be ready to sell. I do believe some of them were even marked as sold. Probably media cars. Therefore I'm 99% sure the lights I saw will be the ones that come on the 17s.

I believe he could get fired, if he did. So, we don't ask.
