re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Waiting on the 2017 order banks to open up. Started deciding on a color. At the age of 53 the color that is most appealing to me........is Extreme Purple Pearl Coat. Going for a Rubicon Hard Rock with automatic. Biggest thing is trying to decide whether to have the fenders and top painted to match or leaving it with black fenders and top. It actually looks better all painted one color. One of the few colors that looks good on a 2-door all one color. Black being one and white the other. Starting to get pretty excited about it. Already talked to a dealer, real small but really wants to work with me. Hopefully everything works out when the order banks open up and nothing bad happens or changes.

I wanted Granite Crystal and i went thru the same thing about roof and fenders. i think the same that white and black look best with the matching color but on GC i went with black top and fenders. didnt seem worth the $$ and i didnt like how it looked. especially since i got dual top. i think purple will look better in black Top and fenders.

You should talk to Craig from Koons on here as you will not get a better deal than from them.

7% below invoice on all wranglers other than hard rock which is 5% below.

I live in Washington State but always had a "funny" opinion of corvette drivers from that era. I actually started to like the car once the C6 debuted. I like the looks of that car better than the Stingray but acknowledge the Stingray's performance is sky high. I am not a fan of two valve push rod engines in a sports car and would love to see that car with an engine like the Shelby GT350 flat plane crank V8.

How far away do people order from Craig? I'm in NH and certainly would like not to have to deal with the buying process while getting a good deal.

Sounds cool to me... I've always liked the look of the old CJs with white hard and soft tops...

As far as the Chief concept look on a Wrangler goes? You're right... how cool would that look? Right down to the old school "mag" wheels.

That would be way cool if the Chief looked like that. I would trade in my 2015 in a heartbeat.

How far are you from one of the Amtrak Vermonter stations just over the NH/VT border? You could take that train all the way down to the DC area.

Another option is the Megabus. From Knoxville, Tn to Washington, D C which is 400 plus miles as I remember, the fare runs between $1.00 and about $55.00 depending on how far in advance and days of the week the travel is booked. There is one stop in Christiansburg, Va. and the trip is just over 9 hrs. Megabus has routes covering much of the U S and I think Canada as well.

I believe the Granite Crystal is a real cool color. And it does look good in a Wrangler painted all one color. I've seen a picture of the Extreme Purple on Wrangler at Dishmans Jeep in Spokane, WA and one with a black top at Academy Jeep in Bessemer, AL. 55 to 45 in favor of one color over all. My girlfriend is looking at me like I've lost my mind on a purple Jeep.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Has anyone found an actual color chip brochure?? I'm unable to dig up anything official, only touch up paint samples.

I assume they are out by now.
