I received 10% off of MSRP so the selling price was $31,037 plus Doc and TTL. In my state if you trade in a vehicle of equal or greater value the transaction does not constitute a sale so no taxes are charged. By obtaining vehicles in this way you save thousands. I received 10% off the MSRP plus avoided the 8.25% sales tax. The price I received is equal to someone purchasing the same vehicle for 18.25% off of MSRP.

Great deal in my book!
Just read your other post where you said the same.

In Washington State we also don't pay sales tax on the portion of the vehicle price paid for with a trade in. The catch is that you can probably get 10% more selling the vehicle yourself which offsets the sales tax gain. Granted you don't have to deal with the hassles of selling yourself but at least in my state it is something to consider.

The dealership actually offered me the price I wanted on this trade in and on my previous trade in so it worked out great. The used car manager told me that my jeeps draw in a lot of customers when people see them parked by the street because 6 inch lift, 38s, armor, bumpers, etc. He said they may sell 50 new Wranglers plus Mopar lifts, wheel packages, etc based on people test driving my trade in. He told me what they do. They use it to lure people in, the people like it, the salesmen are taught to say "Oh but didn't you want such and such option?" "We can get you a new Wrangler with that option and do a lift here." He said it's great moneymaker for them. Pretty smart actually lol.

Just a thought on colors......

Chief is due to come out on early March 2017
Hypergreen production ends end November 2016
Nine colors available at any one time
This could mean that Gobi, Extreme Purple and Acid Yellow will be available to order by November 2016.
Or they run two lines on one color or there maybe a surprise color.....
With the exit of Hypergreen, we short of a green.....

This Saturday is the day.........hopefully. Ordering a new 2-door Jeep Wrangler. Lying awake at night trying to decide on Rubicon Hard Rock Sport S or Sahara. Color, ext. black, int. black. Sahara will be black/olive green int. Decided on automatic, hardtop no dual top. All the bells and whistles. Looking forward to it at the same time apprehensive too. Been a long time since I've ordered a vehicle. Kind of like waiting for your kid to be born. Taco Thursday tonight at the Legion. Ponder it some more then. Sahara is ahead by a bumper right now. AEV or Terraflex can bring it up to killer looks and abilities. Love the optional spoke wheels on the Sahara. Last big hurrah. Want to do it right. Any input is appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

If you look hard enough, you can find a Back Country on a dealer lot. You will not find any 2017 Wranglers.

The website is not an e-commerce site. It's there to showcase the current products. It's there to help dealers sell cars. It's not there to say: "Hey, look! That 2016 we're trying to sell you will soon be a year old."

Can any one recommend a good high-volume dealer in California? I live in central California and about all the dealers (any brand) here seem to think you won't drive any where for a choice. I'm not looking to beat anyone down over every last dollar, but I'd like to deal with someone who doesn't think offering me MSRP is a good deal.

But its a true statement, none the less. All vehicles have the same "birthday"; the first day of their model year.

Anyone confirm is the headlights are just Mopar JW Speakers? Seen people saying they've got reflector in the build sheet description, so maybe more like Truck-lite or something new?

Everything I've seen says Trucklite or similar. The speakers are likely too expensive to include according to the bean counters.

They are not the Mopar accessory version of the JW Speakers. They are reflector style LED.
