Bought a new F150 back in 2004... XL package, 2wd, standard cab. In other words... am/fm, roll up windows and that's about it. They had a commercial on TV... any F150 on the lot... $7000.00 off MSRP. I couldn't resist seeing as how my 93 Dodge had just passed 250k and was held together by rust and band aids. My truck did come with an 8ft bed, v8 and tow package though so as far as I was concerned she was loaded lol. Joined an F150 forum straight away... and guess what i heard? "you bought a WHAT?"
So much for that... so I'm guessing this type of stuff happens across the board OsoAlaska. I'm sure there's a Pots and Pans forum out there somewhere and someone's being shamed for buying a skillet at Walmart lol.
Btw... I still have that F150. 185,000 miles and still going strong. Best deal I ever made. Gave up on that F150 forum in less than a week though.

Truthfully, I've never liked them. I only added them to my Rubi for my girlfriend, and resale. I work in the oilfield up on the tippy top of Alaska, so cold doesn't bother me too much.

Now auto start, that's a different story...

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

When I ordered my 2014 JKUR, There was a sticky with all the models and their invoice prices. Is there a place where I can get this information for the 2017 models. I'd like to order a JKUHR and would like to be prepared when I go order at the dealer with my numbers. Thanks in advanced.

Can someone explain the auto temp control? Is it something necessary? What does it do?

It pretty much does exactly what it states. Maintains a preset temperature automatically, and also utilizes a humidity sensor to help with that. I don't particularly care for mine, but I'm in Alaska. So the temp swings here make it somewhat useless.

If your in a milder climate or one that has more "set" temps, then it may be worth it. I don't really see any value imho.

You can get that info from many of the on-line car price places, like KBB, Edmunds, and Truecar, though you might need to wait a few more weeks for 2017 prices.

You can also simply ask the dealer to show you the invoice (POC), most will. The invoice price is the FWP number. If you join a group like Tread Lightly, you can automatically get the FFP number (1% below invoice).

I see that LED is optional on Sport and Willys. Does anyone know for certain if they are optional or included on Sport S or Willys Wheeler "W"?

They are still optional on the Willys wheeler w. Not sure about the regular sport. I ordered my WW-W on 8/9.

Still optional on both Sport S and Willys Wheeler W; the LED headlights are standard only on Sahara and Rubicon models, including Hard Rock.

New member with first Jeep on order looking for some insight....

Ordered a 2016 rubicon on 7/21/16
VIN assigned 8/13/16

Went to get auto insurance quote by directly inputting VIN and car came up as a 2017

My build/order sheet from the dealer where I purchased says 2016, VIN says 2017... thoughts?

Sounds like they rolled your order over to a 2017. If that's the case, great news for you. You will get a year newer for 2016 price plus very early delivery for a 2017.
