I didn't like the headlights on my '11.

$595 is a cheap upgrade.

Cars.com stock photos with the configurator also show Truck-lite style LEDs if it hasn't been confirmed already.

edit: that or I'm just seeing a horizontal line.

Possibly, I am not looking in the right place.

When I check out the 2017's on cars.com, under the main picture the small print says "2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4dr 4x4 shown" (emphasis mine).

And when I click on the Photos tab, it says "Photos Coming Soon
Cars.com will post photos as soon as they become available."

How else could I get heated seats in a Willys (or just not possible)? Otherwise, I'm stuck building out a Sport S. :/
I tried to build and price a 2017 Willys on cars.com and could not. Didn't see it as one of my choices. Probably operator error on my part.

Start with a Sport. You can make it a Willys variant with an options package: 23K, 24K, 23W, and 24W. (23 for manual, 24 for automatic. K or W for the trim level.)

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

The problem is that you don't need a Jeep in the first place. It is still a luxury item, a toy, and as such most of us buy what we want and what we THINK we may need (in the context of needing a Rubicon for heavy duty off-roading) in the future.

If we only bought what we needed we would buy air, water, food and protection from the elements. Welcome to your 6x9 prison cell. Basic metabolic needs have been met but what a boring life that would be huh?

I am still undecided on a 2017 Jeep but just bought a new Ducati Monster 821 that I sure as hell don't need but it sure is fun to ride; minus the fact that it blew oil all over itself yesterday and goes back to the dealer Tuesday.

Ride on, rock on, Jeep on, bike on, BBQ on, etc. There are no guarantees in life, so take your chances and enjoy it while you can.

I'm sure there are plenty of people on this forum who can afford a Hard Rock or a decked out Sahara but are honest enough with themselves to buy what they actually need or will use... not want. Thinking like this will almost guarantee you a nice fat bank account throughout life.

What are the differences in the 2016 Unlimited Willys W and the 2017 Unlimited Willys W? Thanks!

Lol... I guess I really opened up a can of worms with that post. When I used the words need vs want I was referring more to what someone will actually "use" if you know what I mean. For me personally a Willys or Sport with the LSD, 3.73s and standard transfer case are perfect for winter driving and getting off road to my favorite camping spot and fishing hole. While I really dig the Hard Rock... (man that hood!).. I am honest enough with myself to know I'll never need the lockers, electric disconnects and Rock Trac transfer case. I was only saying just because someone drives a base sport... it doesn't necessarily mean that's all they can afford ehen it might be all they really need.... but granted, sometimes that is all someone can afford.
Now if it was 1970 would I want a base Road Runner with the 383 because that's all the power I would "need"... or would I go for one with the 440 six pack?? Now that's a different question lol.
Btw... sorry to hear about your Ducati. I bought an M900 in the early 90s, rode it for about 5 years. What a blast.

I just built and priced a Willys W on cars.com, thanks to the folks on this forum I might add, and I was not smart enough to catch any changes from a 2016 to a 2017 with the exception of the LED Headlights. I am kind of hoping that the new 2017 yellow color will be available in a couple of months for the Willys.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Don't bet on it. In addition to the 2015 JK Rubicon I purchased last year that was a ton of trouble, I purchased a 2015 F150 that proved to be even worse. Four transfer cases in 10,000 miles, a master cylinder, numerous rattles and squeaks led me to a lemon law suit that I settled in April of this year. I started my suit in November of last year and it took that long to get it resolved.

And while guys at the forums aren't quite as into modding as Jeep guys are, there is still a ton of that.

Plus, we all know at least one mega hardcore Jeeper that will tell us everything that we are doing wrong with our Jeeps after we get them anyway...

I often wonder if there are Ford F-150 forums that have the same discussions that we do. I seriously think it's a Jeep thing.

Agree whole heartedly. By the time heated seats do anything the heater has warmed up the interior and or your butt has heated the leather to the point where it isn't an issue.

Even where I live in NE Washington State we get temps into the single digits. I just hit remote start and ten minutes later my truck is warmed up and ready to go. Even if I forget to leave the heater on I at least have hot air available the moment I get to the vehicle.

OSO I was in Alaska on my motorcycle during June. I should have PM'd you. I know I didn't see a yellow Rubicon or I would have thought of you.

re: 2017 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I kind of over reacted anyway. I am a CPA and for all the toys I have purchased in my life, I have never really just made an impulse buy for the hell of it. I always research, research, research and by the time I am ready to buy I am so exhausted it almost ruins the buying experience.

I wish someday, just once, I'd go out and just buy something that I want without thinking about it. I am not talking about a Huracan mind you but just allowing myself to spend a few bucks and not worry so much. But I think I am too OCD for that.
