I have a 1988 Cherokee and a 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock.
The Cherokee offers 2WD, Part Time 4WD, Full Time 4WD, and 4WD low.
I understand that the Part Time 4WD is to be used in wet, muddy conditions only.
The Full Time can be used on any road surface, unpaved or paved (but gas mileage will suffer if used a lot on paved roads). Full Time would be good for all unpaved conditions as well as inclement weather on paved roads.
The 2015 Rubicon has the options of 2WD, 4WD high and 4WD low (plus lockers, rear and front).
Is it ok on the Rubicon to use 4WD high on paved roads (like the Cherokee's "Full Time" option) or is it the same as Part Time 4WD on the Cherokee (don't use on paved surfaces)?
A little confused here...
