Yes you can negotiate another 1-2% leaving the dealer 2/3rds to all of the holdback.

Under the program can the dealer charge a "Proc/Doc Fee"? I know they CAN, but are they supposed to? May be the same as D&H. It is $490, which is more than the 1% below invoice.

In the rules that Pat attached in Post #1, it says:

Quote:
Documentation fees are allowable under the respective governing State in which the vehicle is titled. Documentation fees may not exceed those normally charged on any other sales transaction.
There are a bunch of other rules and stipulations in there, too...can get complicated because dealers get creative with which terms they use to describe fees.

The way the rules are written, it looks like the most they can actually charge you for the vehicle is 1% below Factory Invoice + $75 Administration fee, but then it's less defined when it comes to dealer options and fees, and can vary by location.

Your best bet would be to call FCA Affiliates directly, tell them where you are purchasing from, give them a breakdown of all the fees listed on your POC or Bill of Sale (the dealer must provide you with a detailed breakdown), and ask them if your deal is in compliance.

FAC Affiliates Reward Preferred Pricing program: 1-888-444-4321

Or if you log into their site with your control number, you might be able to find your answer online:

https://www.fcausaffiliates.com/FCAU...oginLayout.jsp

One thing to keep in mind is the dealer doesn't get reimbursed by FCA if they don't structure your deal properly, so unless that $490 is more than the 1% they'd get back from FCA, it wouldn't really make sense for them to try and "trick" you.

Re: Affiliate/Friends Official Rules and Elligible Companies

New to the forum and to Jeep world. I have been thinking for a long while about an unlimited Rubicon with manual transmission. All of the dealers I went to told me it was a special order vehicle and I wasn't even able to test drive one as no one was available. Last week I finally was able to test drive a black HRR with a lot of options that I don't want/need. When I asked about special order the one I want they said it will take between 6 to 8 weeks and the CDI won't work then as it will arrive in the new year. This manual car has been on the lot for about a month now and it seems I'm the only one ever interested in it and because of it, I tried to get a better price but they said they cannot go any lower than EP. Is this true? Employee pricing is close to 5k less than msrp btw. Any other way to lower the price? I wanted an Anvil Jeep but is no longer available for 2016...

Sign up for tread lightly $100 membership level. You are guaranteed no more than 1% under factory invoice.

May be time to start talking to other dealers too.

Do we know if the affiliate program has been extended to MY17 JKUs? Getting ready to finalize a build soon, hopefully. Also, going to look into the tread lightly program.
