Anvil 2015 JKU

I have been torn picking the color for my first ever Jeep. I have been back in forth between the Sunset Orange and the Hydro Blue, but knowing that I have a conservative streak I have not nailed it down.

I want to make sure I can enjoy and live with the color for many years to come, so I started looking into Anvil. This color is growing on me the more I look at it.

Here goes to whoever ordered this color.......Are you happy with the color? Any pictures of you Jeep other than the images on Google images? I might pull the trigger tomorrow, and trying to convince myself that this is the right decision.

Thank you guys for your help!

Re: Anvil 2015 JKU

I don't have one but if I was going to order a JKU it would be in no other color but Anvil. It looks great on the anniversary Rubicon.

My second choice would be Commando Green which is not available for 2015.

What amazing pictures! This is a great color for sure. I thank you for taking the time to post your awesome Rubi.

I wonder why there are so many post on the Hydro Blue and Tank but very few on the Anvil color. Your post helps me with the process of pulling the trigger. Thanks again!

I'm pretty happy with it. Not to say I wouldn't maybe be just as happy with Tank, Copper Brown, or some of the older colors (Sahara Tan! Or that stone grey/white offered on Rubicons back in 07)

Re: Anvil 2015 JKU

Love my anvil. I really wanted the light blue arctic edition, but they didn't make it in 2013. And while shopping, I came upon my anvil10A that I was lucky enough to get despite its rareness.. I love that blueish grey. Nice change from all those shades of green...

Re: Anvil 2015 JKU

As a Hydro owner, I would say go Anvil. While Hydro is a cool color, I think Anvil is better and more practical. I got a good deal on the Hydro after my Honda was totaled and couldn't find another color with the basic options I wanted. An important factor to consider is repainting. It's gonna happen sooner or later and non metallic/pearl colors are much easier to match. I took my 5 day old Hydro in to get the door handle in right rear door fixed and the Jeep came back with a dent in the door. They attempted to "feather" the paint by painting the quarter along with the door but the door has a nice band of darker color now. They now are attempting to feather the front door as well. What a nightmare on a 5 day old Jeep for a door handle.
