Background color on GPS

2015 Rubicon Hard rock with 430n radio/GPS. Does anyone know how to change the background color on the GPS. the yellow is hard to see even when dimmed. The dark green "night" screen isn't much better. Going thru the setting it says "change the color" but all mine does there is let you change the language? any help appreciated??

I don't think these headunits support themes.

In the Nav screen, select settings, then map, then map theme. The themes are all named after countries. Each theme has different colors.

I've tried this before and again since you posted it and it never changes color no matter which country you choose.

The only way I can see any detail is to set it to nighttime settings and adjust the brightness. It's sort of an olive green color there and it's not my favorite.

Next time I'm at the dealer I'll let them try to figure it out.

Thanks!!!

Re: Background color on GPS

I have a 2014 JKU with the 430n and I have the same problem/complaint...the nav screen display is THE WORST! Both color (whatever that yellow/green is) and resolution make the nav almost unusable (in my opinion). I would LOVE to to know if anyone has any ideas for how to actually change the color schemes or improve the view. It's really my only complaint for this vehicle!

I could have sworn the themes changed colors for me. I'll have to check mine again.

Okay, I tried the themes again. Some of the colors change but not all. The greenish color seems to stay regardless but some of the other colors (like roads) do change color depending on which theme is selected.

They DO change....but just a little. And all of em are hard to see under various situations. They show very poor planning, and I'd love to see a fix for what I see as a problem.

Re: Background color on GPS

I've tried every suggestion here and nothing seems to work.

I wonder if Garmin could help with this issue?
