Bolt on brush guard/hoop

I should be picking up my JKU Sahara Winter Edition any day now. It comes with an AEV tubeless front bumper, which I am OK with, but since it is not the AEV premium bumper, it does not have the brush guard hoop welded on. I would like to put a brush guard hoop and some auxiliary lights on the bumper. I have already identified the lights and bracket that are compatible with the bumper, but I contacted AEV and they do not sell a bolt on hoop. AEV customer service recommended that I search the web for vendors that might sell a bolt on hoop. I have been doing that, but most of the bolt ons seem to be made for specific bumpers. Can anyone out there advise me about a bolt on hoop that will work on the AEV bumper?

Do you have pictures? A welding shop could probably add some hoops. You'll need to have it painted.

I don't have a picture of mine yet - hoping to take delivery in the next couple of days. But attached is a picture of an AEV tubeless front bumper with mounted auxiliary lights from the AEV website.

Re: Bolt on brush guard/hoop

I pulled up one with the hoop to look at. Push come to shove you can find a welder with a pipe bender and he can duplicate yours from the picture or start with the picture and add grill guard, headlamp protection, extra auxiliary light mount, etc., etc. Custom but reasonable price. There's some talented guys out there and could possibly rival or beat the cost of the factory built stuff.

AEV does not make a hoop for it. Maximus 3 makes one for the AEV bumper. They are the same company that builds the Hard Rock Bumper. I've looked at every pick I can find of it. The tube is shaped differently than the AEV and looks a little smaller to me. You can buy them through Rubitrux, but they are often on backorder. https://www.rubitrux.com/maximus-3-moab-mw3-hoop.html
I am still debating if I am going to buy the hoop or bite the bullet and buy the AEV hooped bumper.

Thanks. I know what you mean about biting the bullet and getting the AEV premium bumper. I just hate do do that since I just bought my Jeep, and I would also like to put lights on the bumper so I really don't want to spend $1300 just on the bumper to get the hoop. It would be nice to see pics of the maximus on the AEV bumper. You'd think someone would have done it and put some pictures out there...

You can buy the Maximus-3 MOAB/MWR hoop directly from Maximus-3 as well and it is in stock. I finally got in contact with the company and they said the MOAB/MWR hoop will definitely fit the AEV bumper on the Winter Edition and that it will require drilling a few holes, but it should be a great fit.

I'm curious on how this will look... in the same situation, wanted the hoop but didn't want to swap out the AEV bumper on my WE (ordered).

According to ArcherAce on the 2017 Wrangler Information Thread, the AEV bumper on the WE is the same bumper that was on the MOAB Edition a few years ago. Here is a picture of the Maximus-3 Hoop on a MOAB - hopefully how it would look on the WE. I haven't ordered one yet, but I'm strongly considering it. If/when I do, I will post a picture here.
