Buy from the lot or order new?

I have a good friend who is looking at picking up a Rubicon unlimited.
He, for some unknown reason, is afraid to buy the new version with the PentaStar V6.
With the ordering banks opening tomorrow, I'm trying to convince him to come to his senses about the new engine.
I've heard pretty good things from the folks in the GC with the V6 and the fact that it's got so many advantages over the 202 HP 3.8 thats in the Wrangler now.
For the most part, all else is the same as the 2011, right?
Is there any reason, anyone here would buy the older version than the newer version? Exclude money as the reason as that's the only obvious one and he's not claiming that's the reason.

Thanks for your help!

I'm waiting.
The new V6 seems to be doing well (not too many complaints from the Grand Cherokee side of this site)

Hopefully the "slight" changes that Milous mentions will be just that, slight. I just hope Jeep doesn't screw it up;

Tri-color chrome package?
Cursive lettering for RUBICON?
More animal prints for the Marmot edition?
:D

I'm just waiting to see what the new colors are. I like the old green, just not sure I want to gamble on Deep Forest Green. And as Milous has indicated, we'll see the new Wrangler in print the same day it shows up on the lot (thumbs down AGAIN for Jeep marketing)

That is a strange Marketing plan. You'd think you'd want some anxious customers drooling over the new pamphlets telling everyone they know about the new Jeep they're going to buy. But, maybe they know something we dont. :rolleyes:
My buddy got wooed by the saleman in to a 2011 black ops edition for 34K.
Plus side is he gets to use it this summer! Once the new one comes out, he'll be jonesing for that 80 more HP!
