Cleaning product

Picked up my jeep this weekend. The one thing I was unprepared for was the sales pitch for a cleaning product - both outside and interior. Sounds like it was quite a product. I don't remember the name. Supposed to last 7 years. Makes it easy for spills, stains, etc to come out (I have leather seats) and things like dirt, grime, brake dist, tree sap, etc are supposed to wipe right off of outside. Anyway the cost was $800. I jumped online on my phone real quick and decided to pass. Mainly because a number of reviews claims you can get stuff similar to what they were selling at stores. So that's my question. Is anyone able to suggest a product that is similar? I do want to keep Chief Rhino looking nice. I'd prefer to do it for a bit under $800.

You are also welcome to chime in on whether or not I made a wise decision in passing this up. But keep in mind I have already passed it up and so am most interested in what great products I can use as a replacement. What do you use to keep yours looking nice on the outside. The one thing that I loved about what they were selling was that it was supposed to last a really long time so that you aren't waxing every weekend. Thanks for your input.

Re: Cleaning product

Craig brought that up to me when I picked up mine. I have something similar on my 2014 Malibu. If you can't clean it, they will. If they can't clean it, they replace it. Honestly, if he'd have brought it up prior to my visit, I'd have gone for it, but since I already had the cashier's check written, I passed.

I have always passed on these high-profit add-ons. Even if they are of good quality, the dealer greatly over inflates the charges.

You'll find lots of good threads both here and in WF about cleaning products. For leather, Lexol (which is what I use) and Meguiar have cleaners and conditioners which are highly regarded.

Re: Cleaning product

Check out Adams Polishes website. I have been using their products for a long time. IMO they are the best.

Re: Cleaning product

Simple Green works well on the soft top. cleans off those clay/mud stains and leaves no residue.
