Re: Don't know if i should buy a wrangler.
I live in Texas, but my companies HQ is in NYC and I understand how things go up that way. Personally, for me, if I'm not willing to drive a shoe like the Smart Car, the Wrangler (esp. 2 dr) is the ideal city vehicle. Bit of a lift, put something on for side-steps, and you're all set. Why? Easy to maneuver around tight places, parking lots, traffic, etc. If you park in a tight spot, you're protected from door dings. If you happen to have the doors off, even better! Yes, security is an issue, but I don't keep anything I don't mind losing in the Jeep. I haven't locked the doors on a regular basis since May of 2001. That's when I bought my TJ.
You don't buy a Wrangler for a comfortable drive, features, or gas milage. You buy it because in the end, for me, it is the most enjoyable vehicle to own and drive. They have personality, and you can customize it with a few bucks and some time in the garage. Yes, you can drive it on a piece of glass, hit a spec of dust and feel it, but you'll do so with a smile on your face, and hopefully the wind in your hair (or rushing across your head in my case).
