Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with the Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit for 2 door JKs?

I've searched this forum and others and found only sparse information. Thanks in advance!

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

i have a jku and would like some actual owner reviews too...

i met dennis from teraflex at an offroad show last month... he talked to me in great detail about this product... i was torn between the leveling kit that contained puck spacers and the kit that was new springs... dennis told me to go with the springs.. he said ride quality would not be changed with their springs and i would be more satisfied not using the "pucks"..

unless i change my mind, i am going with this kit...
i just want to take the nose down rake out... not really wanting to lift that much...

i still would like to hear more about it ....

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

I don't own anything Teraflex and never have, but I don't hear many good things about them. Anyone can make a spacer, but I would think twice about buying much beyond that. I think posting links to other forums is generally bad form so I won't, but a Google search will net you tons of information and opinions good and bad.

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

In the past Teraflex products were hit or miss, but they have stepped up a lot with the JK stuff. Puck lifts are all about the same, the spring lifts are where you see different companies doing different things.

The Mopar lifts that Jeep uses are rebranded Teraflex lifts. Teraflex makes other lifts as well.

I have no issue bumping other forums, we browse the net anyhow, not like they are hiding. Take a look over on Wranglerforum, lots of the guys are using TF.

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit PN1351502?

Thanks for the replies! Does anyone presently have the Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit installed on their 2-door JK who can provide any first-hand experience with this kit (PN 1351502)? This is the (4) spring kit with extended sway bar links, not pucks or spacers.

I've read lots of opinions about Teraflex in general - their quality, the history, China, etc, but I'm hopeful someone who has some first hand recent experience can share their opinion based on installing and using this specific kit on their 2-door JK.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

there is a good video on the youtube teraflex channel. they discuss the types of springs ( progressive, linear, etc) and show how their springs are made... they are made in the usa...

i think i and going to use the same kit you are....

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

Ill have to check out this video too. I had a Teraflex spacer lift put on a brand new TJ back in 2007, but it rode horrible with the trailmaster shocks thst came with it haha.
Looking to do a leveling kit and shock spacers so I can use the factory shocks that come on the Willys.

Re: Experience with Teraflex Performance Leveling Kit?

I have the 3" full suspension lift on my 14' jkus and have had zero problems with it. I have no problem saying I'm going teraflex again with my 16' jkur. Springs are almost always better than spacers.

I ran the performance leveling kit for several years before upgrading. The springs are quality springs. There is the slightest lift (about an inch overall). The front is noticeably higher since the rake is gone. You can run 33s comfortably with stock fenders, but 35s will rub on the rear fenders unless you get flat fenders. I towed my pop up cross country with this kit twice and never had any issue with over sagging springs. They didn't feel much stiffer over stock, but it did feel better in the turns. I was running a full width plate bumper with winch in front and plate bumper in the rear and didn't have any noticeable sag as well.
