Helicopter noise

So I put a rubicon express 2.5" lift and 35" tires. When driving u know that sound if u only open 1 window in cars or suv's like a helicopter until u open another window. I have that sound all the time... What can I do? I also haven't replaced the rear tire holder.

Re: Helicopter noise

I'm following this one. Interested in what folks have to say. Wish I could offer some insight, but I got nothing. 😐

Re: Helicopter noise

From what I've read, it might be your hard top flexing enough to cause the fluctuation in pressure. It happens more with stiff suspension or out of balance tires. I test drove a couple of hardtops that did this. They had been sitting in the Phoenix sun for a while and had flat spots. One was inflated too high and it caused that low speed buffeting. Have someone push up on the hard top while driving to see if it goes away. You can also try lowering the tire pressure a couple of #

Re: Helicopter noise

If the noise is coming from outside the Jeep, check to make sure all of your lug nuts are torqued properly.

Re: Helicopter noise

Sounds to me like the tires you put on it. Did you put a real aggressive tread tire on it after the lift?
