Smile Hi...need some advice re my new Wrangler

I just got a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport .... totally stock....a/c thats it.

Someone hit my front bumper at Walmart the other day and took off....later I realized they hit my front fender and busted the light....I am just going to upgrade to new bumpers, and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

I really like it....I got a 6 speed manual....I think it is definitely trail worthy....I'm just really sad that someone hit my brand new Jeep.....but love it even more knowing I have an excuse to beef it up a bit

Just remember if you install a heavier steel front bumper, then your front springs will sag some and give you even more of a rake.

So install a 1" spacer in the front, or look at the last two digits on your spring tags. They are probably 14, or 16's. You can pick up some 18,s or 19's from craigslist real cheap.

Another option would be a leveling kit....

Also look on some of the other Wrangler forums in the "For Sale" sections, they often have take offs (Rubicon springs) for sale.

Re: Hi...need some advice re my new Wrangler

Great....I just had my new bumper delivered UPS. I am going to try to install myself. It weighs 115#.....the replacement of the back bumper should compensate, so tell me more..........I understand the rake....and Hey I am all concerned with the "hood" issue. I have had a hood come up at about 80 mph....another day I somehow survived....Please advise.
