Correction--it WAS hilarious.

Still, unless that dealer is insane [not an impossibility] one would presume that they seriously believe there is a market for ridiculously overpriced fancy costumed up Jeeps, even if only for Halloween or similar.
There is most certainly a market for this...albeit a very niche one. I've seen dealers in the Scottsdale area that exclusively cater to that crowd. You buy a brand new truck off their lot, pre-ridiculized. I'm sure they exist in almost all major markets.

All that aside, I think there is a market for V8 powered Wranglers. It takes power to run big rubber...and on the sand in particular, it would be awesome.

At $85k, it should come with an outboard and a hull so you could really "anywhere".

$85k would just be a down payment for this one.

Apparently, there is a steady supply of lazy, non-mechanically inclined idiots with tons of money to burn.

I disagree about the wheels, but the paint is somewhat similar to a car that was pulled from a field, cleaned a up a bit and cleared. The rust and discoloration were left for viewing pleasure. I think it was one of those tv shows where they rebuild old cars. It was a new and different way to show a car. Not sure i would enjoy seein my vehicle in varying stages of deterioration everyday, but it is neat to see once in a while

Gar Monkey Garage did that. I think it was an early 50's Chevy.

Anyone who would pay $200K for that thing, would bring a hooker to midnight mass.
