Hydrographics

Got some serious off-road mods going on....

If anyone is looking for a GREAT hydrographics shop, I just found one.

I picked up about 10 horsepower with these.

Re: Hydrographics

They did a really nice job on those pieces.

How durable is that? Is there a protective coating applied after they dip them?

They are just as durable as your vehicles finish. He actually showed me how they do it at the shop when I picked up. Once the dipping is done, it gets automotive clear.

On then center dash stack one, do you put the power window switches back in first, and then apply the overlay? Or do you apply the overlay, and then put the power window switches back in?

Their website implies (shows) the first, but your picture implies the second.

The reason I am asking, is that the first will cause some grief if one has to remove the dash later. Whereas the second allows you to still access the one screw behind the power switch assembly.

I staged it that way so you guys could see the 2 parts completed, that's all. You can still pop that window switch out with the cover on...as well as remove the heating ducts if needed.

I had that same concern with the door release pieces...they cover the little plastic door that you need to remove to access a screw. I solved that by installing 3m tape only on the little plastic door, removing the backing, and installing the new part that way so that if in the future I need to access that area, I still can.

These pieces aren't exactly designed with access in mind. Just have to get a little creative.
