Ok, I have bit the bullet.
I ordered the Mopar JK8 conversion kit.
It came in a few weeks ago.

If you are not familiar with this, this is the one-way conversion kit from Mopar that turns a 4-door Jeep Wrangler JK into a 2-door pickup truck.
I am starting with a 2007 Jeep JK Sahara.

I am very excited for this build.
I am building it to sell.
I will post updated pics as I go along.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Sam

Agreed, thank you VERY much for taking the time to share this cool project with us, good luck with the kiddo, some people take kids for granted, and to see people put so much into it just to get one home before the real work begins really says alot about the type of people you and your wife are!

Very cool to see and I am glad your allowing us to be a part of this cool transformation.

so what do you figure the amount you can sell it for when done? i have a couple of slightly used children would you consider a trade?
seriously though would you? lol
ok as a person who is adopted i would like to thank you for giving a child a chance in a loving home in an enviroment he or she would likely never have known were it not for you and you're wife.
none of my biz but im going to offer my 2 cents on if you should tell them or not (that theyre adopted) Unless of course their from another country or race which would make it obvious that they are. My parents told me from as long as i could remember that i was adopted, and with me it always made me question why i was givin up and all the crap that surrounds knowing that you were born to another mother. It gave me a complex i guess you could say, always testing my parents to see how far i could push them i guess to see if they too were going to give me up. i grew up thinking that knowing i was adopted was the way to go, i dont feel that way anymore i deont think there is any benifit in the child knowing they were born to another mother it just opens up pandora's box and once its open theres no going back. Sorry to get so personal on here, its obviously still an issue with me if thats what comes to my mind when i read you were adopting. Thanks again for youre awesome decision. And for shareing youre amazing skills with us.I hope youre son or daughter shares youre love and talent for working with your hands and you have a great time working with them.
OH and i would never trade my kids:)

Awesome! Thanks for your insight. I appreciate your viewpoint very much. We are adopting from Ethiopia. We do plan on sharing that they are adopted from the very beginning (as they will be too young to completely understand), however they will be treated no different than our biological kids. We want to be open & honest with them. Thanks again for sharing.

Oh ya very nice instal you have going! I got to drive one of these a few months back. My local dealer converted one then added a lift and tires. It looked and drove very nice. They ended up selling it for about $52k if I remember correctly! Too steep for me, but I sure did like it. I will continue to watch your come together

Don't know if you saw the write up in JP magazine where they showed a install. The problems they faced was that the windows leaked and required urethane to stop it and were disappointed that it comes with no interior trim for the price. They cut up the original to make it look better finished off. Just thought I would mention it so you are aware of the first especially.

Sorry for the long delay. Here are some updated pics.

I am about 95% done. I just have some finishing details that I want to get buttoned up, and it will be ready to sell.

I am thinking somewhere in the $33K range, as I have seen some selling anywhere from $43K to $70K.

Also, on a side note, I have a 2nd JK8 kit that I planned on building, but have decided to just sell the kit. So, let me know if anyone is interested in that as well. They go for about $5000 new, and I will let it go for $4000.
