Lost among options for soft/bikini top!

OK folks, I need help! I have been searching and reading and watching Youtube for ideas and finally decided to ask the master....

I have a 2015 JK hard top. For summertime driving, I am looking for a soft top/bikini top. The idea is thatI will just put the hard top in the garage and use this new top for the summer. Now, my wife has realized how awesome the JK is and drives it more than me (ugh). So, here are the criteria in order of importance:

1 - Most important: Easy and fast setup, so that my wife can let the top down on nice days, quickly put it up for rain.

2 - Decent rain protection.

3 - Not opposed to installing channels, but would like to keep that to a minimum and would prefer to leave them in (if possible) when I throw the hard top back on.

4 - Not too expensive.

Suggestions?

Re: Lost among options for soft/bikini top!

I have had the trek top nx for about two years now. I have zero leaks, it's easy to setup and easier to open, can be made into a bikini, and fits a spiderwbshade underneath.

You do have to install some framework initially but once it's in, you dont touch it u til you want to put your hardtop back on.

As far as opening the top, you can't open it all the way as with the factory soft top. You can fold the front half back to expose the front seats. But, folding the front half is as easy as onlatching two clamps and folding it back. You can remove the rear panel and the rear corner peices for the bikini option.

I dont know of any soft tops that allow you to leave the frame on while also having the hard top installed.

Re: Lost among options for soft/bikini top!

I got the OffRoadHeros MultiTop about a month ago and I am DYING to put it on. From what I understand, you can do bikini, fastback, or tonneau style. Initial installation looks like a mild PITA, but once on, modifying or opening it up appears to be very quick. Google offroadheros or californiatops if you haven't seen those yet. They've got some unique stuff.

Or if you hit the lottery you can go with the motorized MyTop, which I still don't understand how it doesn't destroy the rear quarter windows over time.
