The question is, did you read it?

I see no mention in that article, let alone a commitment, that the engine upgrade will be on the '17 Wrangler.

Sure I read it... my question to you, did you read the question being asked?

If it stated the 2017 Wranglers will get the new PUG many people would like to know that - overrides many decisions about the 2016. And no, it will NOT get direct injection even if the 2017 gets the new PUG. That answers the inquiry, correct?

If FCA was crystal clear about their build plans life would be almost perfect.

IMO, this new engine trumps colors and badges which is what this thread is about.

What's so great about the new engine? I read the link and it just sounds like a refinement of an already pretty good engine, in a wrangler anyway. My 2013 JKUR with 3.5" lift and 35s ran like a scalded cat. 2.7% mileage increase doesn't turn me on. Maybe the torque with 42's might help a little? Don't know
Edit, after reading it again with all the thin wall "improvements" I think I want a 2016 more than ever.

Well, the first gen Pentastar didn't exactly overwhelm 2012 owners and left side head has two revisions - doesn't settle well with me. The PUG redesigned heads, longer intake runners, increased compression and cooled EGR - on the other hand, provokes second thoughts ... at least with me.

I want to make informed decisions.. especially if I'm considering to spend another $45K.

Affiliates pricing... have you scoped it out? 1% below invoice?

On Edmunds 2016 JKUHR- 1% below invoice calc out to $47,717 almost loaded.

Damn, I paid $42K for my 10A three years ago...

Konowing Chrysler's track record I would stay from this "beta test" until model year or two.

I hear you, my 2013 JKUR was loaded and was like 43k out the door if I remember right. I'm hoping the 75th JKU?? is something special worth buying, if not, I'm not sure what I'll do. Maybe build off a Mohave Sand Sport, or Willy's, or Rubicon or

Re: Mohave Sand 😎

Thanks Milous and sportcoupe

The pictures of the Grand Cherokee and the JK don't even look like the same color, although I know it is supposed to be. The JK looks like a light Copper Brown and the GC looks like a Sahara Tan.

I went to the dealer the other day and looked at a Renegade, it looked almost in between these two pictures above?

Re: Mohave Sand 😎

The photoshop images of Mojave Sand are too dark. It would only look like that in the shade, in the garage...with the lights off. Check out pictures of Mojave Renegades in the sun -- very light color.
