If all Wranglers come with a Sunrider Soft Top, and the 3 Piece Hard Top Option is priced at $735, there must be something additional that comes with the Dual Top Group package at $1,625. That's an additional $890 . . . for what? Certainly not for the color matching roof. It appears that the Soft Top is being priced 2X when the Dual Top Group package is purchased. Something for sure is still not clear.

Thanks
When you order the 3-piece black hardtop, it deletes the standard sunrider soft top therefore the dual-top option allows you to add it back in. Think of it this way, there's 3 options for tops --> a) soft top only (default) b) hard top only and c) both (dual-top option).

[Sahara/Rubicon have a painted hard top option which is an enhancement of options b & c stated above]

BTW, from Mopar, the soft-top is $1395 or $1495. The hard top ranges from $2400 to $3100 depending on JK type and finish/color. Dual-top option looks like a bargain when you consider this.

hope this helps

Re: Question about dual top group?

To note, IIRC IF you buy a single top jeep and say purchase the other top on craigslist or something, again this has been a while, but I believe any warranty concerns with the top (say a water leak from seals on the top) are not covered by warranty. Your warranty ONLY covers what came on the car, be it one top or the other or both.
