Question Rear-View Mirror/Back-up Camera Combo?

Has any one here installed a back-up camera that sends the picture to a rear-view mirror? Do you recommend it? I know a lot of folks hook their cameras up to their radio screens - but with the small base radio screen, I don't think that's an option. I think that with the base radio a rear-view mirror set-up would be less cluttered than appending an additional screen to the dash. Are there any draw backs to a rear-view mirror based system?

Here's one example I found on-line: RVS-770618 one camera setup with mirror display | Camera System | Rear View Safety

I believe you might loose the other features in your current factory mirror, like the LED lights.

Thanks for the reply Walt. Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but what features of the rear-view mirror could be lost?

I'm going to order my first Jeep next week, and I'm trying to see if I could avoid having to shell out for the upgraded radio ... BUT I do want to add a back-up camera without having to mount a screen on the dash. Maybe I'll have to order the radio upgrade anyway.

As I mentioned, the LED lights are one feature. Another might be the auto dimming (auto darkens mirror if the vehicle/jerk behind you has their brights 'on'), if you have that feature.
