Rear window for TJ

I'm new here. Hello all.
A filthy thief cut up my rear window tonight.
I have a 2000 tj se with full doors.
I have a Besttop Sailcloth Replace-A-Top on it.

The back window was hacked up beyond repair. I need to find options to replace.

I'm finding a replacement rear Besttop window for $155.

I was looking on the internets and see full replacement tops (smittybuilt) for about $280.

My question is: Will the Smittybuilt window zip into my Besttop??

I was thinking it might make more sense to order the full smitty top even though I only need the back window for now. I'm just now sure it will zip into my besttop.

Any advice is REALLY appreciated.

No idea...although I'd bet it would zip right in. You might try 4wd hardware...that's relatively near by, or even a 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers. They might let you try before you buy.

Another alternative might be to check with a boat tarp shop and see if they can just re-use your existing "frame" and sew in some new plastic. I seem to remember having one done at a shop on the Aurora/Mantua border.

Thanks. I'd like to find a place to try before the buy. I'm probably over an hour from a place like this and I work nights so hard to get done.

The thieves made two cuts from a lower corner to top corner. Not much left for repair.

My besttop is the one that replaces the factory top. I works perfect with factory hardware. The smitybuilt says it's made for the same. I'm just afraid smitty and best zippers might disagree.

If I order the full smitty and it's back window doesn't zip in then I'll have to box up most of a nice 2 year old besttop.

I'm have to decide soon or I'll be hauling around snow and freezing all the way home.

Stupid thieves have no idea how zippers work.

They cost me atleast $155 to steal a $40 12v compressor. My fault for leaving in exposed in the floor board I guess.
