Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

Hello, I ordered a 2016 Wrangler Sahara in Tank Green at the end of August and it arrived at the dealership a few days ago. Thanks to this board and the 2015/2016 Wrangler Information thread, I feel like I did pretty good for the research I put into it.

I wanted to what accessories people here would recommend. I'm interested in something to keep my hood locked. Either latches or a lock installed behind the grill. Also, not sure if I should get some grab handles, but what are some good ones out there? Another thing is I want to cover the front of the hood with something to avoid marking it up from road debris. Probably not many choices but still. That's about it, if I think of anything else, I'll post in here.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Re: Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

For me, the must haves on a new one are Quadratech floor mats, Jeep Accessory sill guards and splash guards and a spare tire cover. The list goes on and on, but those are the basic firsts I did with my 15 and will be the firsts for my 16 when it arrives.

Re: Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

Go for a set of GraBars. The brand is Welcome Distributing, however there are many dealers that carry them. From what I've seen the prices don't change much. We have these on our 2011 JKU and LOVE them. One of the best improvements we added. They are well worth it!!!

As far as the headlights, JW Speaker has some nice ones. Although pricey. Just be sure to get the J series of the 8700's. They don't require the anti-flicker module that others need on Jeeps. Also, if you look at the Mopar site... the LED headlights they offer, they are the same ones... just with the Jeep name listed.

Also, if you plan on getting larger wheels/tires... Don't forget your spare tire carrier. You don't want to warp or break your new gate. TeraFlex has a very sturdy one that mounts onto the same hinge points and doesn't require drilling or mods.

And WELCOME to the Jeep family! We are about to pull the trigger in a few days ourselves on a 16'

I recommend the JK RIGRIP. They look factory, are rubber coated and are reasonably priced. You can order them on ebay. Shipping is expensive because they are from Canada, ay.

Re: Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

GraBars are a rigid bolt-in that use existing anchor points front and rear and work great for lifted Jeeps.

Nice. Do these interfere with the sun visors like the other handles do?

They don't really interfere, you do need to either bend or extend the visor slightly if you want to fold them down but I have a 5" eyebrow of 20% tint across the top of my windshield so I never flip my visors down unless I'm taking the freedom tops off.

Re: Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

Thanks for all the suggestions, people. I already installed the Tuffy lock for my hood. I'm interested in the grab handles so thanks for those 2 suggestions. Besides those and some mats, I think I'm good. I will looking into the clear bar for the hood though.

Recommendations on Wrangler Accessories

Best bull bar and search light lights for Hard Rock Rubi? Also led fogs available for this steel bumper to go with the Mopar LED headlamps? I heard Maximus 3 is popular bar, but not sure which to get. Best backup camera to accommodate 430n navi? Anyone retrofit with the pricey Alpine larger screen custom Wrangler navi system? Finally best Duratrak replacement for pavement and snow to replace stock tires down the line! Can existing rear tire rack support the Duratraks? Thanks!
