Removing soft top

Just bought a used 12' Sahara 2dr, with the soft and hard tops both on the car. Can I take the soft top out without taking the the hard top off?
I could really use the rear cargo area.

Thx

Re: Removing soft top

Huh? You're saying both tops are on the vehicle at the same time?

I've never seen that before. But as to your question, I would imagine that you have to take the hard top off first, as it'll be on top of the soft top (hopefully).

Re: Removing soft top

Thx. The dealer put both tops on, I'm guessing just to make it easy to
put the car on the lot.

Re: Removing soft top

Little late to the game here, but they ship them that way to save space. You actually need to remove the soft top if you have the hard top on and vice versa. If you have both on, it voids the warranty on the soft top. It's not meant to be stored that way.

Yes you have to take the hard top off to get the soft top out. Get a hoist if you got a place for it, makes pulling the hard top easy as pie.
