Royal purple or mobile 1 engin oil

I have an 07 jeep wrangler and I'm wondering what oil yall would recommend. I've heard great things about royal purple and mobile 1.

Re: Royal purple or mobile 1 engin oil

Neither. One is over priced and the other doesn't meet the protection standards that other oils do.

Go to Walmart and get some Pennzoil Platinum and call it a day.

Or if you want the penzoil ultra platinum amazon will drop three 5 quart jugs on your porch for $93. Works out to $6.20 a quart which isnt that bad

Its preference everybody will tell you something different. There is penzoil platinum and their is penzoil ultra platinum if you want the best one get the ultra platinum. ultra is what they recommend for SRT so if its good enough for SRT should be plenty good for us. i use the ultra in the 5.7 but again you will hear a dozen different stories on what people think is best.

Re: Royal purple or mobile 1 engin oil

Mobil1 is fine, so is the pennzoil stuff. As long as it's a good synthetic you'll be fine whether its Valvoline, Pennzoil, Mobil1 etc. Also, get a good filter...K&N, Mobil1, etc. Personally I think Royal Purple is overkill.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

It's crazy I've heard good and horrible things about RP and M1. You think being a hight price and so-called better quality oil it would yield more positive reviews.

That is why it is best to do your own research on the oil brands you are considering. Relying on other people's opinions for an oil is not a very reliable source of information as evidenced by your last post. Do yourself a favor and go over to a forum called Bobistheoilguy and look at some of the threads on the oil brands of your liking. You will be surprised at some of the results and performance on some of the oils that everybody thinks are superior oil brands. Sorry I did not answer your oil choice question but hope this helps you.
