So people are not getting much off?
Managed to get them down to just under 45, thinking about pulling trigger

A fully optioned out Hard Rock Unlimited does, just barely, break the $50K price barrier.

If you can get such, down to just $45K, IMHO, that's pretty good. I mean, 10% off sticker is a generally a good deal.

Re: Rubicon Hard Rock Price

I just ordered a fully loaded (ok, I skipped the tow group- I'll put the hitch on myself) 2016 HRR Unlimited for 42,700. Dual top, auto A/C, extra air bags, remote start, the whole deal. Part of that is the $500 "golden ticket" and part is an affiliate deal. Original MSRP was $48,000. Just give them a number and be prepared to walk I suppose. Or tell them for what they're quoting you can fly to Denver, CO, take a quick trip either to Littleton, CO or Boulder, CO and have two different dealers willing to go way lower.

...that all having been said, I've heard many a salesperson note that Hard Rock Rubicons on the lot go for MSRP and they go quickly.

Re: Rubicon Hard Rock Price

I wonder why the MSRP was lower when your's was fully loaded and mine was not.

I didn't do the hard top head liner, the smoker's group, the engine block heater, the tow group, or the body colored fenders/roof. I think that's all I left off of mine when I say "fully loaded." I suppose adding all those things gets you closer to 50.

Cool Re: Rubicon Hard Rock Price

This was on a 2015 just last weekend at Greenway Jeep here in Orlando, FL:

WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON HARD ROCK 4X4 - 40,495.00
5 Speed Automatic Transmission - 1,350.00
Radio 430N AM/FM/CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV - 1,145.00
Dual Top Group - 1,785.00
Add 4.10 Axle Ratio 595.00
Air Conditioning with Automatic Temperature Control - 395.00
Remote Start System - 495.00
Destination charges - 995.00
US$47,255

Dealer was willing to do 10% off MSRP and no dealer fees...so it was 42,250 +Tax, Tag, and Title...

I came as close as signing the paper work and place a deposit...but it was Red and I just could not go with that color at the last second (I came in looking for an orange one). This was without any secret handshake, golden ticket, etc... just an offer made by me and accepted by the dealer (well, I made the offer to three dealers, this one is the first one that I visited).

I have seen folks in the forum get up to 14% discounts from MSRP without additional dealer fees...

And as I told another forum member, do your homework on the financing before you get to the dealer. Have that pre-approved and then have them beat the interest rate if they want to earn the $ they get on them doing it. Would be sad to get a great discount on the Jeep only to get screwed on the financing (unless you are buying it cash).

Anyway, I walked away from it and will be waiting on the 2016 color to be on the lot so that I can see them in the flesh... computer screen and the brochure at the dealer can't really tell how they will look in the metal.

Best of luck on your search and final deal.

I thought the Hard Rock included the Alpine speakers as part of the Hard Rock "package". Unless that's new for 2016 (shows as standard in the order guide in the 2016 Hard Rock section).

You are correct. Mistake on my part when I posted (initially I was trying to decide between a Willys Wheeler and the HR so that is the reason for the confusion). Let me update that.
