Soft top or hard top?

Hey guys. I'm looking for opinions from people from south Louisiana or from a place where the climate is similar. Which top did you choose?
Leaning towards dual top option because I can't decide which to go with. I know everyone's situation is different, I'm just looking for opinions on what top you chose and why.

Thanks!

Re: Soft top or hard top?

First thing is how often do plan on running topless/down? I'm in jax,fl so there is always the possibility of an afternoon shower. I have had both tops and prefer soft top. I like to be able to go top up/down with minimal time and fuss. Hardtop will give you cooler interior and quieter ride, if that's more important.

I'm sure the majority of time the top will be up. But would like to drop it at will. Are the freedom panels able to be removed quickly?

Dual top option!

Best of both worlds.

That's what I'm leaning towards. Didn't know if I could choose one and save some cash

The F panels come out (go in) very quickly, but then the SunRider opens & closes pretty quickly to. Hardest part with soft top is keeping the plastic windows from getting scratched up when they are out.

I've got both, but then I'm in NH. Hard for winter and soft for summer. Hoist in garage to quickly & easily get the hard off.

Also got a SpiderWeb Shade - great up here, essential down there.

You can't go wrong getting dual, if you find you use the soft top more you can always sell your hard top.

Re: Soft top or hard top?

Additionally, if you've got a garage you can throw together a hard top lift fairly quickly which makes the transition a snap. If you have to park your jeep somewhere sketchy, I would suggest at least owning a hard top (I've had one of mine cut into... with the doors unlocked).
