Well Marlon, your statement about theft protection makes perfect sense. It doesn't have to lock if the key has a chip, never thought of that! Now us old timers like Walt and I, who remember when the ignition switch moved from the dash to column are wondering why it's still on the column if it could be back on the dash....hahaha.....boy this modern technology!!!

I'd rather have the ignition switch on the column, but oh well...

For what it's worth, my lady's old CRV had a locking steering wheel AND the ignition was on the dash, not the column.
