Stock Rubi Tire PSI

For those of you with stock rubicons, what PSI are you running in your tires? Dealer has them pumped up to 44 and it feels too high.

Check your door sticker and see what the factory recommends.

If 44 is feeling a bit rough on road... drop em down to the 35-37psi range. You should feel a huge difference.

Thats where I run mine. The sensors kick off at 36 psi...

Its a litte harsh with KM2 E rated tires.. but it doesn't feel like a slug either.

44 PSI is way too high.

Are you getting excessive inner wear on your tires yet?

No... but when they reach 36 psi the EVIC sounds off and instructs to inflate to 43 psi.

I think the label on my door indicates 43 psi.

Really? Then your Jeep is way different than my 15 HR. I just had this happen last week. I rotated my tires and my spare I rotated in was a little low on air. My Evic lit up and notified me that I had low pressure (it was at 30 psi) on one of my tires. The Evic only flashed the low tire pressure message then displayed the 4 tire pressures with the low one flashing. That was it, no instructions to inflate to any pressure. It stayed flashing the low tire pressure amount until I filled it with air. The message flashing stopped when the pressure hit 35. That was it. No more warnings.

For the record, I inflate my tires to 35 psi cold.

That's pretty much how mine works except the tire that's low it starts flashing and I get a tone with an EVIC message to inflate to 43.

My label says 43... I'd post a photo but I keep getting error messages.

Ditto, including that when I rotate in my spare, my spare always seems to be low. Its not the tire/wheel. Its always the tire/wheel that was goofing off hanging off the tailgate, that seems to loose air. So, with each rotation, its off the one remaining station with free air to fill that one tire/wheel back up.

On my EVIC, when I have one (or more) tires that are below the minimum pressure, the line on the EVIC display just above the four pressures diagram, instructions me to "inflate to 37". When all four are OK, that line does not say this.

BTW, is it that 10A's, have a 43 psi requirement ??? I know that 10A's have different tires, different from Rubi X's and Hard Rocks.

Re: Stock Rubi Tire PSI

Make sure you're not reading the maximum tire pressure.

You can always check the tire manufacturer site and see if they advise anything

Re: Stock Rubi Tire PSI

I can add that our 2016 JKU Rubi (HR) disagreed when the pressures dropped below 36 (I think it was) as it got cold a couple of weeks ago. 37 made it quit complaining. Seems they must have changed things since the '13s/'14s.
