Re: Sunset Orange

I actually like that it shows more red. My concern is the pink/salmon color and how much does it really show. I live in Florida, so it under direct light it going to show mostly salmon/pink undertone, then I might consider changing my order to Firecracker Red. It might also make it an interesting color to own......a bit confused.

Re: Sunset Orange

Me too. Not sure what color to go with. Hate to wait another year to see what colors will be offered. I liked crush and Forrest green from previous years

Geek's pictures are not bad at all. They were taken under direct sunlight, and it shows a red, orange-like, and a bit of salmon mixed in. I think if we are looking for a bright and unique color for our Jeep, then this might be a great choice.

I personally do not want a dark color (anvil, tank or black), or an everyday color that I have been getting for most of my cars in the past. White, black, silver are out ( you see them everywhere- too common)...
This leaves the Hydro and Firecracker Red (a bit common) Out of these, I love the Red but might get tired of it (too red).

So, I am still a bit confused but I am working through this decision using pics posted on these forums and my own logic.

Re: Sunset Orange

Its amazing that Jeep has spent probably tens of thousands of dollars to make their color catalog...

And many of the photos aren't even close to the actual vehicle colors.

And then neither are the colors on their website.

I have been looking at all the photos on the same computer laptop screen, so you would think that they would all at least be close.

The Sunset Orange on their website isn't even in the same galaxy

Now I worry about what Copper brown will look like.

Here is one photo that I hope is accurate.

Re: Sunset Orange

Are you still thinking sunset orange or are you going with brown? This is my first Jeep. The pictures of sunset orange look very red to me. Going a little crazy trying to decide

This clearly is not the same orange as my buggy.

Now waiting to see a Copper Brown.

Glad you made it over.

Yes that is the Jeep I ordered and decided to pass on. I drive by the dealer many times a day and today alone it looked like 3 different colors 😄

Sunset Orange

I like it and am glad i ordered it. My is a Willys and will have all the black accents. I have showed all these pics to other people and no one can see salmon or pink from these pics. I guess its all in the person perception. It looks like hemi orange and that is the color I expect.

You forgot baja! I think that is the direction I am going to go. Why do car makers have so many shades of dirt?

The color in this picture I believe is Amp'd (PYC) from the 2014 MY. I don't believe it's available on the 2015 MY. Too bad, it's a sharp color.

Re: Sunset Orange

Baja is a great color. For me personally, I think it might be too bright for me. It's just personal preference.
