I need a Wrangler Unlimited to tow behind my motorhome, at a reasonable price. I'm thinking Sport, and seeking advice on improving its weaknesses.
(I need Unlimited because I've been towing a Liberty for a few years, often driving it with passengers and stuff, and need Unlimited's similar interior space.)
I use a Jeep to explore forest and desert roads, sometimes a rocky unpaved mountain pass, dirt trail, etc... 95% on some semblance of a road...hill-climbing, we used to call it, but not true rock-crawling. So, Rubicon seems unnecessary, Sahara emphasizes style I don't care about.
That leaves Sport, improved by what? Your advice is greatly appreciated.
What should be done to make Sport a tad better? Tires for sure. Skid plates, yes. Perhaps brush/rock guards. And maybe a light bar. Need for a winch is iffy.
I've love your specific suggestions for each of these. Anything else to consider?
