Ok,
JEEP
Is this too obvious or am I missing something?
Questions:
1. How can you build a special edition JK version called "Willys" (an obvious shout out to the original WWII MB that you blazen all over the other vehicles as a cutesy "easter egg") and not offer said JK IN THE COLOR T-A-N-K!!!!????
2. How can you build a cutesy little car based "Renegade" that is over loaded with easter eggs IN THE COLOR T-A-N-K!!!!????
Well... I guess I gotta slow down a bit... I based that rant on the recently updated Jeep website and went to build a Tank WW version and couldn't... but I just came across a dealer video showing off their brand new WW in Tank.
Ok Jeep good job on the reality... not a good job on the website.

Buy a Sport in Tank, throw-on a 2.5" shock/coil lift, some 33's or 34's, put a Willys sticker on the hood, and... Voila! You have your Willys in Tank! I wouldn't pay for a Willys anyway--it comes with wheels and tires that most people shitcan anyhow? It's just another special edition differentiated by little more than a sticker on the hood... Take the Willys sticker off the hood and put on a Moab sticker, and now you have a Moab edition! Yay!!
You should read a Willys sticker and see what comes on one. It's a nice package and includes a lot more than a "sticker". It's not for everyone, but it is a neat group of options.
There is a less expensive version?... not in my neck of the woods.
Ok. Buying a sport makes a lot of sense if you S-C wheels, drive components and suspension. I agree.
If you want an "out of the box" Sport S that is as capable as a Willys "out of the box"... then no... you will not save money buying the Sport S and putting in the same options... Biggest change, Willys have MTs, Sport S street tires.
What ever price compare you do for a special edition is based on the logic of "I like it pre-packed like this and I probably will buy floor mats and call it a day".
If you modify Jeeps then a Special Edition is a waste of money. If you are going to modify a Willys then just get a Rubicon and put bigger tires on it and you'd have a the best 4x4 out there.
