Any idea of when the 2016 JK/JKU color and order guide will be released? I'm looking to upgrade from a 2012.

That pretty well stinks. They can't get rid of the current color choices soon enough for me. The worst selection running for the longest time is crazy, especially if there aren't any notable changes coming. 2016 isn't even really a model year change to begin with what the heck is the point of putting it off?

The engine is changing. And I am going to guess Jeep is having problems with it and needs an extra couple of months to attempt to fix it.

What's the point in the change for one year? Nevermind that I've seen multiple places that the GC would be the guinea pig for all of the 3.6. There's no hurry to launch on multiple platforms at one time. No reason to update a end of platform model either. Its just time to milk the last sales out of the mature cash cow.

Let the JK work out the kinks with the updated 3.6 so that the JL will have a smoother launch?

So, has the diesel been 100% removed from the drawing board of the 2016 model? I admit that I thought it possible a couple years ago with all the rumor mill articles. Especially with the, "boost sales before they bring in the redesigned model" line. Now, not so much...

One of the many:
2016 Jeep Wrangler To Get Diesel Engine | Edmunds.com
I am not too sure what that Edmunds story really means. The way I read it, their use of the term "2016 Wrangler" is their way of referring to the highly anticipated redesigned Wrangler. At some point, such was assumed to be coming out for the 2016 MY, but newer info all points to the 2018 MY.

As to a diesel in a US Wrangler, the only credible hint comes from the Jeep exec who said that he would not invest in putting a diesel into any other US Jeep models until the Grand Cherokee diesel sales in the US double.

So DI is confirmed for 2016? That sucks! DI engines run dirty. The soot on the tailpipe will make you cringe thinking about what's going on internally. Better change the oil every 3K!! And there is little to no real world power or mileage benefit.

For what it's worth, I'm now seeing "Same drivetrain as 2015" under 2016 Wranglers on wk2jeeps.

Really hoping this is true.
"M" posted a hint on another thread here that ordering window for the 15's might be closing soon. It could be that Jeep just gave up on the DI, and thus doesn't have to extend the 2015 MY, and delay the start of the 2016 MY, for several months.

I would think it would be nice to simply offer tops in colors other than black or body. White would be nice (as you show), as would be saddle to match the interior (if you so inclined to do that).
