Unhappy Re: Wrangler 3.0L CRD in Detroit?

My understanding is that newer engine are harder to convert to biodiesel.
Probably because of the environmental demands made on the manufacturer.

B20 is usually the maximum tolerated to maintain the warranty.

Another exemple of regulation being counter productive, demand that a product be eco friendly and remove the ability to use fuel with zero carbon foot print.

Re: Wrangler 3.0L CRD in Detroit?

Here's a good solution, biodiesel compatible, proven engine.
But 30K for the upgrade is hard to consider.

Re: Wrangler 3.0L CRD in Detroit?

$30k? Wow

Makes the $4k charge Chrysler does for diesel engines on their vehicles seem downright cheap.

I know someone in AU with a diesel JKU. She gets 26mpg when we did the math and converted everything. We can only hope we get it.
